Popular Pirate and Princess Day set to return to Manor Walks Shopping Centre for seventh year

Ahoy there! Calling all pirates and princesses! Manor Walks and Concordia Leisure Centre are inviting visitors to come along and enjoy their fun-filled annual Pirate and Princess Day.

The popular family event returns on Friday 11th August for its seventh consecutive year, for a day packed full of themed activities and competitions. The event takes place on the grassy area between Manor Walks West Mall entrance and Concordia Leisure Centre from 11:00am – 3:00pm.

This event aims to give youngsters a day to remember during their summer holidays. Children are invited to dress up as a pirate or princess and have the opportunity to meet their sea-savvy swashbuckling heroes and fairy-tale heroines.

Kids can join in pirate party games with Captain Jack Sparrow and storytelling with Captain Raggy Beard, and can even have their photo taken with Tinkerbell and Princess Ariel – Manor Walks are providing a wealth of activities the whole family can enjoy.

Ellie Jones, Marketing Engagement Officer at Manor Walks, said: “We’re really excited about hosting Pirate and Princess Day again this summer. It’s a real calendar event that everyone looks forward to every year – and this year has the WOW factor!

“Families can make a day of it by joining in the fun and games on the grassy area, getting their face painted, taking part in the in-centre treasure hunt (not forgetting to stop and grab something yummy off the BBQ!). And if that isn’t enough to curb the hunger, families canenjoy a meal at one of many eateries.”

The event is open to children of all ages, so come along on Friday 11th August to have some fantastic family fun.
