Over 100 vocalists and players from the Wednesday and Friday Silver Singers groups, who come together to sing easy to learn songs each week, will join members of the ARC-ulele band for some up beat sing alongs, and they are encouraging members of the public to come along.

The three groups will be taking turns to perform songs such as I Believe I Can Fly, Celebration, Rolling in the Deep andThree Little Birds, and a joint rendition of It Takes Two’.

Local music tutors Paul Walker and Ali Barnes from Apollo Arts lead the weekly groups at ARC along with tutor Joe Johnston.

Paul Walker said: “An Evening with the Silvers is always a fantastic occasion and our Friday group are delighted to be performing again this year. Of course, they’re a tad nervous, but they’re really excited to be sharing their hard work in front of an audience.”

This event is the annual showcase of each group’s talents and all are welcome to watch the silvers perform some well-known songs.

Tickets are priced at £3.50 and the gig starts at 7pm on Thursday 19 May.
