Swashbuckling fun at Manor Walks this summer

Shiver me timbers! Manor Walks are inviting visitors to join them for free family fun this summer to celebrate Pirate and Princess Day.

The popular family event returns on Friday 10th August between 10am-3pm for its eighth consecutive year, for a day packed full of themed activities and competitions.

This event aims to give youngsters a day to remember during their summer holidays. Children are invited to dress up as pirate or princess to have the opportunity to meet their sea-savvy swashbuckling heroes and fairy-tale heroines.

Kids can listen to pirate tales and mermaid stories with Captain Raggy Beard and have their photo taken with Belle and Cinderella.

Children can also look forward to face painting, fairground rides as well as an in-centre treasure hunt and a prize for the best-dressed pirate and princess!

Bruno Coppola, General Manager at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, said: “This August we’re delighted to be inviting visitors to join us for free family fun this summer to celebrate our eighth Pirate and Princess Day. It’s a real highlight in the centre’s calendar of events and every year it brings together the community to enjoy the magic and wonder of these childhood heroes and heroines.

“Families can make a day of it by joining in the fun and games on the grassy areas, getting their face painted, taking part in the in-centre treasure hunt. Not forgetting to pop by one of our many eateries or cafes for something sweet or to enjoy a family meal out.”

The event is open to children of all ages, so come along on Friday 10th August to have some fantastic family fun.
