Military Wives Choir Enter The Race For Christmas No 1

Screen Shot 2015-12-10 at 09.22.48They’ve done it before and this year the Military Wives Choir are hoping to do it again and secure the Christmas No 1 spot with their new single, The Proclaimers ‘500 miles.’ this time with the help of North East PR guru Dean ‘Midas’ Maynard, owner of Team Midas.

The Choir (made up of wives from Chivenor, Lympstone and Taunton)  have teamed up with military charity, Walking With The Wounded to raise vital funds this Christmas for homeless veterans.

All proceeds from the single will go to Walking With The Wounded and The Military Wives Choirs Foundation.

Walking With The Wounded Christmas campaign, Walking Home For Christmas is backed by Captain of GB’s Invictus Games team David Henson, BBC DIY SOS star Nick Knowles and the X Factor judges to name just a few.

It will see people across the UK pulling on their walking boots and Santa hats to have an adventure on their doorsteps – be it 1 mile or 100 – challenging colleagues and friends to walk to Christmas parties, the pub, sporting fixtures or simply dodge the usual travel disruption by walking home.

Dean said “It is a huge honour to be involved with this and I hope we raise tonnes of money, for a very worthy cause”

500 Miles is now available to download on iTunes.
