FAMILIES will be able to enjoy a sing along to their favourite songs as the Frozen pantomime comes to Redcar High Street on Saturday, December 5.
The outdoor pantomime funded by Cllr Carl Quartermain and Cllr Neil Baldwin, which is taking place at the King Edward VII clock, is part of a Christmas fun day to support and raise awareness of Small Business Saturday.
A Government initiative aiming to highlight small business success, Small Business Saturday encourages consumers to shop locally and to support businesses in their communities.
In addition to the pantomime, which is free to watch, other activities will be taking place such as children’s fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto, Christmas Market, face painting and Santa’s furry friends, including ponies and donkeys.
The Monthly Alternative Market will also be taking place on the High Street between 10am and 4pm.
Cllr Quartermain, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Leisure at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council said:
“I am really looking forward to the day’s events which bring a magical start to the festive season.
“Not only will the activities provide fun for all the family, but they also highlight the importance of our local businesses especially at this time of year.”
Cllr Baldwin, Ward Member for Coatham said: “I am delighted we are hosting such an array of events for residents and visitors of the borough.
“It is going to be a fantastic day, and we encourage everyone to join us.”
The day’s events will begin at 11am but seating will be limited so families are encouraged to arrive early.
