Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS – MICHELIN STAR STYLE…

THE NORTH EAST’S top restaurant is pulling out all the stops for its last service of 2019, offering a festive feast to remember.

The two Michelin star The Raby Hunt, at Summerhouse near Darlington, traditionally shuts it doors over Christmas and New Year, to give staff the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned break.

And this year the leading eatery is saying goodbye to the year in style – with a menu inspired by Christmas, on Sunday 22 December.

The festive tasting menu – which costs £150 per person – will incorporate all of the best loved flavours and ingredients of a traditional feast, but used in a unique and imaginative way.

Dishes on the menu will include venison with celeriac, sprouts and spiced ragu, tagliolini with chestnuts and black truffle and buche de noel  – which will see chef James Close give his own interpretation of a traditional Yule log.

“The lunch on 22 December will mark the last service of the year so it’s going to be a very special event with some really memorable food,” said James.

“We’re hoping it will be a great way for guests to sample some really original takes on familiar, seasonal dishes.”
