Gradvert and Go-Ahead partnership continues its success

NORTH East specialist recruitment firm Gradvert has been praised by leading public transport provider The Go-Ahead Group for its record in placing high-calibre graduates with the company.

The Go-Ahead Group, which provides over one billion passenger journeys around the world through bus and rail services, is continuing its collaboration with Gradvert to design and develop engaging graduate programmes.

Go-Ahead learning and development specialist, Louise Howe said: “We’re pleased to be continuing our partnership with Gradvert. Over the last four years they have helped us create a comprehensive graduate programme that offers industry-leading career pathways and as a result, now attracts thousands of applications.

“The Gradvert team are knowledgeable and attentive and from the start of the relationship took the time to understand our business — including the challenges — so they could tailor an approach that was right for us and right for prospective graduate employees. Their bespoke proposition is why the programme is such a success.”

Go-Ahead now fast-tracks a high percentage of its graduates into managerial, operations and engineering positions. As well as that, all of Go-Ahead’s graduates have completed leadership and management skills, and a proportion are now managing teams of more than 50 colleagues.

The work Gradvert has done has enhanced Go-Ahead’s profile in the graduate market, presenting an attractive workplace for a wide variety of students. The programme supports Go-Ahead investing in the next generation of business leaders, ensuring a sustainable supply of top talent.

Michaela Reaney, managing director of Gradvert said: “We work closely with our clients to understand exactly what type of candidates they need to enhance their business, as well as understanding what career development they can offer graduates. Gradvert is all about helping businesses and graduates mutually develop, and in the case of Go-Ahead, I think the figures speak for themselves. The programmes we’ve helped Go-Ahead develop means that graduates can fast-track their careers in this leading FTSE250 company and it also means that Go-Ahead’s employees are skilled for years to come.”
