Active Chartered Financial Planners, the Tees Valley based team of specialist Independent Financial Advisers which serves the North East and Yorkshire, has delivered strong results for the financial year ending March 2017.

Highlights of the year-end report include:

  • An increase in the total turnover from £1.24m to £1.54m
  • Profit levels rising proportionately with turnover
  • Client acquisition increased by 10%
  • 6 new recruits employed, taking the headcount to 28 people.

Active has a history dating back to 1986 and holds the prestigious “Chartered” status. It has been working closely with both individuals and business owners to ensure they achieve their financial objectives.

Karl Pemberton, Active’s Managing Director said: “Active has had a number of successes to celebrate, not least the 24% increase in turnover. This additional revenue has allowed us to expand the business, and invest more money in our people. The leadership team has been able to take away some valuable learning points from this year, not only about growing the business, but also about the value of self-development.

“Although we are a small business, we are delivering a great service to businesses and individuals. The North East has a rich history of people building up businesses, and we feel that we have a significant place within it, offering financial advice and guidance to both new and seasoned professionals. As an owner-managed business based in Teesside, we are in a central position to be able help these individuals to succeed.

“Thanks to all our stakeholders for their continued support during this period. As a result of this years’ profits increase, we will be making a further announcement in the near future.”
