This weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will see the Alfa Romeo Racing limited editions making their UK debut. Created to celebrate the brand’s return to Formula 1 under the “Alfa Romeo Racing” name, the UK will receive an initial allocation of just 10 Giulia Quadrifoglio and three Stelvio Quadrifoglio “Alfa Romeo Racing” limited editions. Orders are now open with prices starting from £89,500 OTR for the Giulia and £96,500 for the Stelvio.

Under the bonnet of these exclusive racing inspired models is the highly acclaimed 2.9-litre V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine. Tuned to deliver 520hp and 600Nm of torque it gives the Giulia Quadrifoglio a top speed of 191mph and acceleration from zero to 62mph in 3.9 seconds, while a top speed of 176mph and a sprint from zero to 62mph of 3.8 seconds is achieved by the Stelvio Quadrifoglio. A Sauber engineered Aero Enhancement package adds wider side skirts, unique front splitter, more prominent spoiler and side winglets on the front wings, all of which are functional to provide additional aerodynamic performance . An Akrapovič titanium exhaust gives a unique soundtrack and in combination with fine tuning from Alfa Romeo’s powerplant engineers contributes to the 10hp power increase over the standard Quadrifoglio models.

While retaining all the technical features of the Quadrifoglio models, this special series mimics the livery of the Alfa Romeo Racing F1 cars with Trofeo White and Competizione Red two-tonedesign. The excitement of the racetrack is reflected in the addition of exposed carbon fibre roof on the Giulia, the dark alloy wheels (19-inch on the Giulia and 20-inch on the Stelvio), carbon ceramic brakes with red brake calipers and carbon fibre details on the wing mirrors, “V” insert in the front trefoil, side skirt inserts and kick plates (on Giulia).

Inside the racing inspiration continues with Sparco racing seats with red stitching and carbon shell structure, complemented by red seatbelts, Mopar® automatic gear selector with carbon insert and leather and Alcantara steering wheel with carbon inserts. Both “Alfa Romeo Racing” models are also complete with tinted windows, Adaptive Cruise Control, Harman Kardon premium audio package and the AlfaTM Connect 3D Nav by Mopar infotainment system with 8.8-inch screen, with DAB radio and Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM compatibility. Each car will also be fitted with an exclusive ‘Alfa Romeo Racing’ badge to commemorate the 10 Alfa Romeo victories in Formula 1 in 1950 – 1951.

The “Alfa Romeo Racing” limited edition celebrates Alfa Romeo’s ever-deepening participation and involvement in the Formula 1 world championship, in partnership with Sauber. This year the team are racing under the new official name of “Alfa Romeo Racing”, so these models proudly assert the racing history of Alfa Romeo that has seen a string of victories and top-three finishes in many international championships, including F1.

Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend will be able to see the Alfa Romeo Racing Editions on the Alfa Romeo stand and running up the infamous Goodwood hill climb. Fans will also be able to admire the team’s F1 car, on display on the Alfa Romeo stand and the C32 running up the hill on Saturday and Sunday at the hands of Italian F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi.
