A Middlesbrough-based brand agency has expanded following a successful summer.

Better has increased its studio space at Plenary House on Queen’s Square and created three new jobs to cope with a range of new projects that the company has recently started work on.

The award-winning strategic marketing, creative, web and social media agency now employs a team of 14 and has grown its office space from 1000 to 1500 square feet.

The investment comes following Better’s successful summer securing new contracts with Casper Shipping, Endeavour Partnership, Baltic Training, MyFirmsApp and OddsMonkey to carry out a range of brand, creative, web and digital marketing projects.

Demand for Better’s unique ‘BetterBrandBuilder’, a business tool developed in-house and used by a number of companies around the North East to improve their brand communications, has grown significantly in the last year and the company’s new digital marketing division, established at the start of 2016, is also experiencing rapid growth.

Better was established in 2008 and has continued to grow working with clients around the UK including PD Ports, the North East Chamber of Commerce, Northumbria University, Tees Active Financial, Odyssey Systems, Faithful and Gould, Red House School, Growthfunders and author of ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ Philippa Gregory, to name a few.

Managing director, Mark Easby, said: “We’re operating in a very competitive marketplace at the moment but thanks to our reputation as one of the longest established creative agencies and our established and unique ‘BetterBrandBuilder’ process, we’re seeing demand grow for what we do.

“This means we can create new opportunities for local talent that wants to break into this sector. We are also committed to the retaining and developing the best people in the region and growing a team that can support our growth and deliver impact for our clients.

“It’s a really exciting time to be a growing business on Teesside, and in Middlesbrough in particular, which is seeing a real upturn with a host of new developments in the offing. We’re passionate about putting the region on the creative map and, thanks to our exceptional team and loyal clients, I believe we are now starting to compete with areas such as Leeds and Manchester.”
