One hundred and eighty! Teesside shoppers will have the chance to take on BDO World Darts Champion Glen Durrant when Middlesbrough’s Cleveland Centre hosts an annual family fun day for charity.
Shoppers can test their skills in the Darts Zone against the Teesside star – known to fans as ‘Duzza’ – when Middlesbrough’s largest shopping centre hosts One Great Day of fundraising fun.
Those picking up the gauntlet – and the arrows – will be asked to make a small donation, with all funds raised to be shared between Middlesbrough’s Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and London’s famous Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
There’ll be signed merchandise and other money-can’t-buy prizes for anyone coming out on top against Middlesbrough-born Duzza, who recently added the Welsh Open title to his BDO World championship.
The day’s fundraising events, which will focus on the Centre’s Newton Mall, close to Costa Coffee, will also include face painting, balloon modelling and lots of family activities.
Cleveland Centre is one of 150 shopping centres around the country taking part in One Great Day, which takes place between 11am and 3pm on Saturday June 10, One Great
