Cleveland Police Force Area PCC Candidate Statements Published

The election statements of the four candidates are now available at www.choosemypcc.org.uk where residents can enter their postcode to read or download the statements in full.

Alternatively, a hard copy booklet can be ordered online or over the telephone by calling Freephone 0800 1 070708 (please note that some mobile operators may charge for these calls).

The Police and Crime Commissioner Election 2016 takes place on Thursday, 5 May 2016 and the list of candidates standing for election as the next Cleveland Area Police and Crime Commissioner is available at www.stockton.gov.uk/pccelection

There are currently more than 407,800 registered electors in the Cleveland Police Force Area, including more than 70,600 postal voters.

Residents who are not on the electoral register must register to vote by 18 April 2016 to ensure they can vote in the election.

Registration can be completed online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or by phoning the Voter Registration Helpline on 01642 526196. Alternatively, hard copy registration forms are also available by request.

Those who would like to vote by post must apply by 5pm on 19 April, while the application deadline to vote by proxy is5pm on 26 April.

Polling Day is Thursday 5 May and the result will be announced on Friday 6 May.
