Festival-goers are being given the chance to flex their funny bones at one of the North East’s leading events.
Hardwick Live 2015, which returns to Hardwick Hotel Hotel, Sedgefield on Saturday August 22, will feature three stages of live music headlined by legendary British band, James
For the first time in its history, the popular one day festival will also include a separate stand-up showcase, highlighting some of the finest comedic talent from across the North East.
This includes presenter and cartoonist Alfie Joey, who has appeared in a variety of TV shows, including Hebburn and Coronation Street and former professional wrestler Lee Kyle.
They will be joined by impressionist and former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Cal Halbert and pantomime star Phil Walker, who has clocked up countless television appearances and headlined most of the major comedy clubs in the UK.
The comedians, all of whom are experienced in catering for a family audience, will perform throughout the day in a specially created dome, which will also host DJ sets into the evening.
Other highlights at the festival, organised by Ramside Estates, include Main Stage appearances by very special guests Razorlight, plus Embrace and 10cc, as well as a Discovery Stage, headlined by Cast, which will showcase new and emerging talent.
There will also be a selection of fairground rides and family activities, with refreshments available from a variety of food stalls and within Hardwick Hall Hotel.
