A new free running class has started in Easingwold aimed at new runners who want to run further, whilst having fun!

The new group is supported by Hambleton District Council, North Yorkshire Sport and Yorkshire Cancer Research.

“Taking up running can seem like a scary prospect, especially if you feel out of shape or unfit,” said David Earl, Hambleton District Council’s Development Officer – Health and Wellbeing.

“But did you know that regular running can help reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, boost your mood and keep your weight under control? Couch to 5K is a running and fitness plan developed to help absolute beginners get more active. The program features different activities each week and can be adapted to suit all abilities. It is run by an experienced and qualified Running Leader.”

The runs take place every Saturday morning from 10am starting at Millfield Car Park in Easingwold.
