Dog owners welcomed for walkies at Wellfield Rise

Housebuilder Bellway invited residents and local people to its Wellfield Rise development in Wingate for a community dog walk around the country paths that surround the development.

The event took place on Saturday 16 April, with dog treats provided afterwards at the development’s sales office by Samantha Hall, who owns natural dog treats company Booshie Pooch, based in nearby Stockton.

Bellway is currently building 90 homes in the first phase of Wellfield Rise, off Wellfield Road, with the site eventually planned to comprise a total of 250 homes.

The dogs and walkers met at the sales office for a walk of about an hour, before returning to the development, when the dogs were able to enjoy their treats, while the residents enjoyed the bank holiday sunshine on the green open space at the development.

Hayley Teasdale, Sales Manager for Bellway Durham, said: “The event at the weekend was a huge success with the residents, local people and their dogs all enjoying themselves in the sunshine.

“There is a really nice community forming at Wellfield Rise already and it was great to see everyone coming together, along with members of the local community.

“Dog treats were provided by local business Booshie Pooch, and we had limited edition dog bowls made especially for the event.

“It was lovely to chat to everyone who attended, and all the dogs were able to make some friends on their walk and enjoy some yummy treats.

“We look forward to the next event at the development!”

Bellway is building two, three and four-bedroom homes at Wellfield Rise. Three-bedroom semi-detached and detached houses are currently available to reserve, with prices starting from £162,995.
