ELVIS Presley, Doris Day and ABBA were just some of the acts covered by a musical duo in a special performance for Teesside care home residents.
Residents from The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, Stockton-on-Tees, were treated to the show from The Bloomfield Duo.
Consisting of Paul Bloomfield and Dee Twentyman, the pair play in a range of care settings as part of charity Music in Hospitals and Care.
Their performance at the LiveWell Dementia Hub, in Thornaby, near Middlesbrough, included acoustic covers of classic pop songs throughout the decades.
Alwyn Behan and Pam Imberg, from The Beeches Care Home, were among the audience members. They also enjoyed tea and cake as part of the event.
Jess Roth, activities coordinator at the home, took the residents to the LiveWell Dementia Hub on her day off.
She said: “Alwyn and Pam were in their element they loved it! They were both singing along to the songs.
“Alwyn remembered all the words to “que sera sera” and they both had a big smile on their faces.
“Both ladies said it was nice to be out for the afternoon and they would gladly go again.”
