North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Elite partnership between leading Pilates teacher and health clinic

Screen Shot 2016-03-09 at 10.18.53A North East leading health clinic has teamed up with one of the region’s leading Pilates teachers as part of its plans to expand the business and its services.

HealthHub – which offers a full range of physical, mental and social wellbeing services – has recruited Vicky Rees, with the aim of being able to offer its patients a broader range of services and an even better experience.

Vicky’s list of clients includes Middlesbrough Football Club’s first team and she has worked with Olympic swimmers, Aimee Willmot and Chris Cook.

Originally from Middlesbrough, Vicky trained with Body Control Pilates in London in 2008, qualifying in 2009. She settled in Saltburn and opened her own Pilates studio in Yarm in 2010.

Vicky, who was thrilled to be approached by HealthHub, said: “I’ve been growing the studio for the last five years and the time felt right to expand, as there’s only so much you can do yourself.

“It’s great to come together and work with people who have a shared vision for the future and who want to grow and expand a business that is helping people look after their health.

“I’m really excited about the future, it’s such a great opportunity for all of us and I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Vicky will manage all the Pilates at the Yarm-based clinic, from running daily classes to teaching other Pilates teachers.

Formerly known as Yarm Osteopaths, HealthHub – which went through a major rebrand at the start of the year – was established in 2000 and has treated over 6000 patients across the Tees Valley and beyond.

The clinic, which consists of 13 associate practitioners, is equally delighted about the new partnership with Vicky and what it means for the business, with 2016 set to be a year of growth in both services and staff appointments.

Osteopath, Julian Crossley, said: “We are very excited to have Vicky join the team here. She is a breath of fresh air and brings momentum to our partnership and plans for 2016.

“We felt Vicky was a dynamic and vibrant person, with great enthusiasm and drive, which matches our ambitions for the future.

“We want to expand HealthHub and offer more services to patients and we believe this is the best way to do it.

“Pilates’ emphasis is on balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility and awareness in order to support efficient movement, all of which complements the other services currently on offer at HealthHub.”

To celebrate Vicky’s arrival at HealthHub, free 30 minute taster sessions will be held on March 19th, which can be booked by contacting the clinic.
