European Honour for Pink Boutique

After reviewing thousands of nominations, one of the most influential and prestigious business magazines in the world has shortlisted a Newcastle businesswoman in its “30 Under 30 Europe Class of 2017” awards.

Forbes Magazine have recognised the business talents of Pink Boutique entrepreneur, Alice Hall who started her online fashion business in 2012 with a  £90 investment.

The company now achieves annual sales of around £9million with plans to replicate their business model in the USA and Australia.

The business, which started in Alice’s home is now situated in a 60,000 square foot factory unit in Newcastle and looks after its own buying, merchandising, customer care, warehousing, IT, HR and finance.

The Forbes list features 300 young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders across Europe who are under 30 years of age and who are transforming business, technology, finance, media, culture and more, as judged by some of the most accomplished and acclaimed individuals in each category. It covers 10 categories – Arts, Entertainment, Finance, Industry, Media, Policy, Retail & Ecommerce, Science & Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs and Technology – with each of the honourees vetted by a panel of expert judges in their respective fields.  Previous winners have included Irish technology innovators, John and Patrick Collison, tennis champion Maria Sharapova, and singer Adele.

Alice was chosen for her leadership skills, entrepreneurial mind-set and for the growth and phenomenal results that Pink Boutique is achieving. The company posts 2,000 garments a day and has had an annual sales growth of 141% over the last three years. The good news comes just a month after Alice and Pink Boutique were ranked at number 12 in the Fast Track 100 of the UK’s highest growth businesses by Virgin Media.
