GRAB your dabbers and get ready for a night of fun and comedy as an old game gets a modern makeover at a Newcastle bar this winter.
Bingo Revolution, which takes the traditional number game and gives it a new twist, is heading to Antler in the city centre for three nights during November and December.
The game gives revellers the chance to engage in the classic game while eating, drinking and being merry, and will be hosted by local comedian Carl Halbert, who shot to fame as one of the Mimic Men on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016 and is a regular on the North East comedy circuit.
Gary Hutchinson, owner of Chrysalis Leisure which owns Antler and its upstairs Buddha restaurant, is looking forward to helping guests experience a whole new version of the game.
“If you think bingo is just for old ladies with blue rinses or something to do on a cold wet day at the coast, then think again,” he said.
“Bingo Revolution gives a whole new look to the famous game, providing a hilarious night out with prizes, comedy and a lot of fun.
“As a city centre bar, Antler is always looking for the next thing to entertain our customers and we’re sure that these three nights will prove to be very popular.”
The Antler events will be held on Friday 16 November and Tuesday 11 and 18 December from 7pm. Tickets, priced at £11 each, are available now.
Antler – located at 55 Degrees North – is Tyneside’s only Alpine-themed sports bar.
