Free advice for Stanley residents

Karbon Homes will be hosting one of its popular free advice days in Stanley next Thursday, 12 October between 10am and 3.30pm.

 The event, which will be held at the Civic Hall, Front Street in Stanley will provide residents with information on health, housing, benefits, debt, employment, fuel and Universal Credit.

 The event is one of a series of advice days, which have been organised by Karbon Homes in partnership with Durham County Council, Monkey and Advice in County Durham, running across the county until 20 October 2017.

 Advisors from multiple agencies including Karbon Homes’ welfare rights advisors & debt specialists, rent officers, Housing Benefit assessors, Council Tax officers, employability officer and more will be available to provide expert advice, and workshops on offer to get local residents prepared for full service Universal Credit.

The event is a unique opportunity to address multiple issues in one go with face-to-face support from experts in the field, and for residents to start taking action to get prepared for full service Universal Credit, which is due to be rolled out in December 2017.
