Families are being invited to take part in a free course that really will take the biscuit.
Local landlord Dale & Valley Homes is hosting a ‘Big cook, little cook’ event at its Mickle Grove Community Training Hub in partnership with Bishop Auckland College.
By taking part, on Friday, 29 July between 10am and 3pm, attendees will pick up some basic cookery skills, get to try some tasty treats, and learn together as a family at the same time.
Kimberley Batey, Dale & Valley Homes’ Community Training Project Coordinator, thinks this is a great way to kick off the school holidays.
She said: “This will be a fun session for all the family, no matter what their level of skill around the kitchen.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and transport can be arranged to help people attend.
