Families are being given the chance to enjoy a stress free school holiday with a host of free activities in South Shields.
From Tuesday (July 28), South Tyneside Council will be running twice weekly Kids Fun Fest parties as part of the South Tyneside Festival 2015.
The events, supported by Minchella & Co, are being held at the open air Amphitheatre every Tuesday and Thursday until August 20 and will offer two hours of free entertainment for all ages, including a variety of games and appearances by various guest performers.
It forms part of the wider South Tyneside Festival, which is also providing free samba drumming workshops at the same venue on August 8 and 15, as well as live music at venues across South Shields until the start of September.
Councillor Alan Kerr, Deputy Leader of South Tyneside Council, with responsibility for Culture and Leisure, said: “Families are under a lot of pressure to keep children entertained during the school holidays and we hope that our popular Kids Fun Fest events will give them the chance to do that, absolutely free of charge.”
