An innovative new running related programme starts next week in Hambleton.

Social trail running will offer runners the chance to experience amazing countryside and varied terrain with the support of like-minded, friendly runners and fully qualified Run Leaders.

“We have  been developing a community running scene across Hambleton for a number of years, working in partnership with and supporting local running groups,” ” said David Earl – Development Officer – Health and Wellbeing.

“This particular project which is the first of its kind in Hambleton is joining forces with Neon Nights- a running group in Northallerton and promises to be very exciting.”

The free runs take place every Tuesday starting 3 July, meeting at Cod Beck car park at 6.20pm and running approximately 5 miles.

They are suitable for relative novices and experienced trail runners alike (runners must be able to run 4 miles).

Trail shoes are recommended but not essential – suitable road running shoes will be fine.
