Frozen pantomime rearranged to Aladdin

Redcar_and_Cleveland_Borough_CouncilFAMILIES will be able to enjoy a sing along to the sounds of Arabia as an outdoor pantomime of Aladdin comes to Redcar High Street on Saturday, April 2.

The pantomime was originally planned for December as Disney’s ‘Frozen’ but was rescheduled due to bad weather.

The two showings of Aladdin, which are free to watch, start at 11:30am and 1:30pm, and are taking place at the King Edward VII clock on Redcar High Street.

The Monthly Alternative Market will also be taking place on the High Street between 9am and 4pm.

Cllr Carl Quartermain, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Leisure at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council said:

“The pantomime will be a great way to celebrate the arrival of spring and the Easter holidays with all of the family. We’re encouraging as many people as possible to join us.”

Cllr Neil Baldwin, Ward Member for Coatham said: “We are delighted to be hosting the pantomime for our residents and visitors to the borough. It is going to be a fantastic day and a great opportunity to bring extra footfall to the town’s local businesses.”

For further information, please call the council’s events team on 01642 444262 and for those interested in hiring a stall at the Alternative Market, please contact Billy Adams on 07938 190062.
