Northern Medical Practitioners, which specialises in minor skin surgery, medical procedures and health assessments, has taken an office for four of its employees in the serviced space at Gateshead’s Metropolitan House. The move will enable the company to develop its commercial operations, providing professional office space to accommodate the administration and management team close to the practice’s clinical centre at Blaydon Primary Care Centre. This is Metropolitan House’s latest letting, allowing Northern Medical Practitioners to take advantage of a flexible work environment designed to secure growth plans - it is currently developing specialist consultant-led clinics, starting with urology, to bring hospital-level expertise directly into the community. Clinical director Dr Mike Fabricius said the extra space will support burgeoning operations with the possibility of taking on even more space further down the line as business continues to flourish. “We needed professional office space for our management and administrative team close to the Blaydon clinic, and Metropolitan House gives us room to grow,” he added. “It is an ideal base for the next stage of our ambitious plans; we’re excited about the move and taking advantage of a great location.” Metropolitan House is seeing strong demand from businesses looking for high quality, flexible workspace. Northern Medical Practitioners is the latest tenant on a list of new occupants, which also includes drug and alcohol testing and training specialist Objective Health, and legal firm John Cook Commercial Law. With almost 100% current occupancy levels and a long-term refurbishment programme nearing completion, owner Peter Conroy said: “Northern Medical Practitioners is a great addition to Metropolitan House, which provides the ideal platform to help them expand their operations in the coming years. “We continue to see significant interest from a range of businesses keen to invest in high-quality, easily accessible and energy efficient office space that meets the demands of modern, flexible working practices.”
