Guild Wars 2 Friend/Ships 2020, ArenaNet’s annual community spotlight campaign, kicks off today as members of the Guild Wars 2 family share their personal stories to raise awareness and start conversations about mental health. In a video released by ArenaNet today, Guild Wars 2 developers, influencers, and fans open up about how they helped someone through a tough time and how they themselves were helped, and what supporting someone going through adversity can mean.
In the spirit of the ongoing Friend/Ships campaign, Guild Wars 2 players will receive a free t-shirt outfit for their character to wear in support of starting conversations about mental health. The outfit will be delivered via the Guild Wars 2 gem store beginning today, January 31 and will be available until March 2.
The Guild Wars 2 community is invited to share their personal stories and raise awareness about how friends can help each other when they’re coping with hard times and difficulties with mental health via the official hashtags (#GW2Friendships) and via the official Friend/Ships site: www.guildwars2.com/friendships.
Players who share their stories using the hashtags are also eligible to have their own GW2 character put into the game as an NPC (non-player character), forever immortalized in Tyria.
