High five – as tapas restaurant launches exclusive evening

A POPULAR NEWCASTLE restaurant is proving five is the magic number, with a special evening serving up world cuisine.

Mr Petit, a bijou tapas bar and restaurant based at Old Eldon Square, is hosting an evening of dining and drinking on Tuesday 5 December, alongside spirit distributor Hi-Spirits.

And the night, which starts at 5.55pm, will keep with the five theme by offering guests five dishes, five cocktails and a welcome drink upon arrival for £55 per couple.

Dishes available on the exclusive 555 menu include a starter of grapefruit cured salmon, compressed cucumber and watercress, accompanied by a classic Brooklyn gin and tonic, and a main of succulent boneless lamb loin with fresh anchovies and marinated olives, served alongside a Buffalo Trace Brown Derby cocktail.

Each cocktail is expertly crafted to complement the flavours of its partnering dish.

Mr Petit, which launched in August 2017, opened in the former Al Buco at Old Eldon Square after being bought by St Camillus Leisure.

The restaurant offers a tapas-style menu, featuring small plates from all four corners of the globe.

For further information, or to purchase tickets, call Mr Petit on 0191 484 1245, visit www.mrpetit.co.uk or visit the restaurant and purchase through a member of staff.
