Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Screen Shot 2015-10-27 at 10.39.34A Stockton on Tees care home has raised over £100 for the fight against breast cancer – after celebrating national Wear it Pink Day.

Residents and staff at The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, donned pink clothing in support of Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity.

The extra-ordinary day also saw residents take a tumble down the rabbit hole, as they were treated to a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the same afternoon.

Sue Abdi, manager of The Beeches Care Home, said: “The residents thoroughly enjoyed Wear it Pink Day and the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party all on the same day.

“It was certainly out of the ordinary, so they probably did believe they fell down the rabbit hole!

“We’d like to thank everyone who donated towards Breast Cancer Now in support of Wear it Pink Day.”
