The Teesside team at national home builder Miller Homes, has created a regionally themed festive wreath to welcome in the Christmas season and one lucky winner has received the wreath as part of a social media competition.

The wreath, which could be easily replicated by those wishing to celebrate all that is great about the region, was inspired by some of the most iconic things associated with Teesside.

“Our inspiration was the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge and the wonderful shades of blue that are present in our rivers and coastal areas,” said Donna Clark, Associate Sales Director, Miller Homes Teesside. “Our vibrant Miller blue was also weaved into the design along with house shaped baubles reflecting our core business operations.”

The Teesside Wreath designer, TCL at Home based in Seaham, has shared their top tips to be able to reproduce this creative knock-out at home:

“We started by making a list of everything that makes the Teesside region unique, and that of course included a selection of unique baubles featuring elements from our iconic shoreline, homes and fairy lights, to add a touch of festive sparkle.  It was finished with a wooden silhouette of the iconic Transporter bridge which dominates the Middlesbrough skyline.”

TCL at Home adds: “To make a wreath, start with a large frame with plenty of room to insert little knick knacks and quirky decorations. You can source items from independent craft stores or look online to find bespoke or original pieces. Make sure the wreath is bulked out with foliage first, such as leaves and flowers you might want to use, before adding your decorative elements, so they really stand out. You can either secure it all down with a hot glue gun, or tie everything together with string or flexible wire.”

Donna commented: “With a number of developments in the region, we have great affinity with the people and place.  There are plenty of things about Teesside to make everyone in the area proud, and we think TCL At Home has done a wonderful job of capturing the main local ingredients to create an alternative festive style.”

Miller Homes currently has a range of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes for sale across the region. Further information about their development locations and prices can be found by visiting https://www.millerhomes.co.uk/locations/north-east-of-england/teesside.aspx
