Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Invest North East England launches regional property and land database

A major resource to attract inward investors to the region has been relaunched by Invest North East England (INEE).
The INEE property and land database is a searchable online tool listing commercial property (industrial and office) plus development opportunities currently available within the region for potential inward investors.
The resource is the only one of its kind in the North East with properties featured from all seven local authority areas and includes information from over 40 property agents and developers.  The database features significant property and land and currently has 344 available premises and 69 strategic employment sites prime for development, with information on almost 11m sq ft of available and proposed industrial and office floor space, plus more than 1,800 acres of employment land.
The monthly-updated, easy to use search system provides immediate information about suitable sites – both those that are prime for development and existing large-scale industrial or commercial properties ready to be occupied. Users can search by land or property and opt for size in metric or imperial classifications. The tool is also a useful resource for businesses currently located in the region that wish to grow or relocate.
The database is being managed by INEE and is now incorporated into their new website, with support from all of the region’s major private sector commercial property agencies.
Keith Stewart, director at commercial property company Naylors, said: “The Invest North East England property and land search database is a great platform for companies both in the area and outside the region to search what large scale land and property opportunities there are in the North East.  This is something that has been needed for some time.”

Formally known as Locate North East England, the database was previously a stand-alone website but has been incorporated into the INEE website to provide greater visibility and reach a wider audience of potential inward investors. As part of the INEE website, the database will also allow people searching for property to view other reasons to move their business to the region, and outline the help available to them, from a single point of contact.

INEE director, Guy Currey, said: “This is a fantastic resource for people looking for property or land to expand or relocate their businesses into the North East.

“As part of the INEE brand, we will be able to bring the land and property search page to a greater number of investors seeking locations within the North East and provide the necessary resource to keep it up to date, which is vital in the fast paced commercial property market.

“This is a key asset that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the region and will form a big part of our toolkit to attract inward investment.”
