The next gig to be hosted in the historic Manor House in Sedgefield will feature two of the most enduring names on the UK music scene.  On Friday 3 May, Rod Clements and Rab Noakes will bring their ‘Alive ‘n’ Pickin’ tour to Sedgefield.  Rod Clements was an original member of North East legends Lindisfarne and Rab Noakes is a successful musician and singer-songwriter whose compositions featured on Lindisfarne albums, including the chart topping Fog On The Tyne.

The gig will be the second time that Rod Clements has performed in the Manor House, following a sell-out show early in 2018, after which he praised the venue and the intimate atmosphere of the Old Court Room.  The two veterans have collaborated in the past and the Alive ‘n’ Pickin tour is now celebrating their past, their passions, and their shared belief in the power of song.  Their set will include favourites from their own catalogues as well as some of the classics that originally inspired them.

Ean Parsons, owner and director of Manor House 1707 Ltd, comments: “Rod Clements’ performance with Ian Thomson last year was a really special event and the response from our guests in the Manor House that night was hugely positive.  Now with Alive ‘n’ Pickin, I anticipate that the combination of Rod and fellow North East music legend Rab Noakes will be just as memorable.  The Old Court Room is going to be a brilliant setting for the gig and we’re expecting another full house.”

Rod Clements and Rab Noakes will perform in the Grade II listed Manor House on the evening of Friday 3 May, with the doors and licensed bar open from 6:30pm.  A few tickets for the gig are still available at www.wegottickets.com/event/447513.
