Lots of laughs at Hilarity Bites

Screen Shot 2015-10-07 at 13.58.05There’s plenty to laugh about at Bishop Auckland Town Hall next week with the return of the Hilarity Bites Comedy Club.

The popular event is back on Friday, 16 October, with an impressive line-up of top comedians set to take to the stage.

Headlining the night will be Ray Peacock, who many will recognise as one half of critically acclaimed double act Peacock and Gamble.

Ray has also won praise for his solo shows, which have garnered him four Chortle Comedy Award nominations in a row. He’s also impressed TV audiences with appearances on Russell Howard’s Good News.

Also appearing on October’s Hilarity Bites bill is Scottish actress and comic Wendy Wason.

Wendy has performed around the world and appeared on British TV screens in Coupling and The IT Crowd.

Her exquisite timing and bags of charm have earned her a fan in Jimmy Carr, who has endorsed her as being ‘absolutely hysterical’.

The evening will be hosted by Scott Gibson, a Glaswegian comic who has supported some of the UK’s top comedians, including Frankie Boyle and Kevin Bridges.

Combining a conversational style with his own unique brand of dark humour, Gibson confidently leads his audience down a d path few others would dare to tread.

Tickets are £10 on the door or £8 if booked in advance. To book, visit the box office at Bishop Auckland Town Hall or call 03000 269 524.
