One of the world’s best-loved monsters will be venturing out of the woods to meet visitors at Head of Steam – Darlington Railway Museum next month (July).

A special “Meet The Gruffalo” event will be held in the museum and gardens on Sunday 23 July, 10am-4pm.

The Gruffalo will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the day and there will be lots more fun for all the family including face painting, mini train rides, arts and crafts and lots more.

Sarah Gouldsbrough, Acting Manager at the Head of Steam, said:

“We’re delighted to be welcoming our very special visitor and I’m sure there will be lots of fans, both young and old, keen to meet him.”
