ONE of the North East’s most ambitious housing developments is entering a new phase with the release of three entirely new house styles.
The £250m Seaham Garden Village is bringing open space, sustainable living and well-designed, energy efficient houses to Durham’s heritage coastline.
And, on 25 January, leading house builder Miller Homes North East will unveil its next phase of homes – including three new house types.
Seaham Garden Village has been designed to create a new community surrounded by thriving wildlife havens, with almost 50 per cent of the site given over to open spaces and landscaped areas.
Along with the 375 new build homes Miller North East will build in total, the development will include a primary school, an innovation centre and a community hub.
And visitors to Miller’s site office from 25 January will not only be able to view the next phase of house styles but also to reserve their chosen plot.
Of the three new styles, the two-bedroom Newmont and four-bedroom Knightswood are semi-detached while the Kirkwood – also with four bedrooms – is fully detached.
Both the larger properties feature en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas allied to their principal bedrooms, while the Kirkwood also has a separate laundry room downstairs, adjoining the kitchen.
Both feature patio doors from the kitchen into the garden and integral garages and all three house types provide the ample storage and maximised use of space for which Miller Homes is renowned.
Less than half an hour drive from both Newcastle and Durham and sited on the East Coast train line, Seaham is well placed for those looking for semi-rural living and Miller Homes is confident its new phase will equal its first in terms of buyer appeal.
“Not only are they superbly sited within a growing, multi-generational community, but the styles absolutely chime with modern living,” said Lauren Angus, sales director at Miller Homes North East.
“Increasingly, buyers are looking for versatility from their homes, with multi-use spaces that they can adapt as their needs change or their family grows.
“So, we are very excited to be revealing these new house types and would urge anyone interested to visit our site office as soon as possible as there is, understandably, huge interest in this development.”
