Molten lands naming rights to BBL and WBBL Play-Off Finals

British_Basketball_League_(emblem)Molten Sports have secured the naming rights to the prestigious BBL and WBBL Play-Off Finals which will take place at The O2 on Sunday 8 May.

In what promises to be an absorbing and historic day for British basketball, both the men’s and women’s seasons will reach a climax on the same bill for the first time.

Molten UK & Ireland Marketing Manager, Jessica Newland is delighted to be attaching Molten’s name to the showpiece event and enthused, “Molten Sports is very proud to have the naming rights for the 2016 BBL and WBBL Play-Off Finals.

“At a time when British Basketball is increasing in both popularity and media coverage, we are delighted to further develop our long-standing relationship with the BBL.

“The O2 is a superb venue with the event drawing a record-breaking crowd last year and we are pleased that Molten will be at the forefront of this exciting season-ending showdown for both leagues.”

Molten is the world’s leading ball manufacturer and an internationally recognised brand. It is renowned for the exceptional quality of its ball products and its advanced technical know-how.

This is reflected in the many international competitions and tournaments in which Molten balls are the official game balls, including all international FIBA events.

“We have an excellent working relationship with Molten, who are a hugely valued partner,” added BBL Chief Operating Officer, Andy Webb.

“We are pleased that we have been able to further expand our collaboration with this naming rights deal.

“Not least, because The Molten Play-Off Finals are to be shown live on the BBC red button and via the BBC Sport website, which is great for both parties and for the sport.”
