NEW COMMUNITY OF ALMOST 400 HOMES COMING SOON TO NORTH SHIELDS

Work is underway by homebuilder Miller Homes to create a community of 399 new homes on Norham Road in North Shields.

The development, known as Collingwood Grange, will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes. These include a range of brand-new house styles, which have been designed in response to an evolving need for a living space that is multi-functional, with more of a focus on home offices and open plan family accommodation.

As part of the new development, Miller Homes will be providing 100 affordable homes in partnership with the Riverside Group Limited and making contributions of £348,000 to benefit local infrastructure. This includes highway improvements to the Norham Road/Norham Road North Corridor, and the provision of a bus shelter to the existing Norham Road bus stop.

Lindsey Oliver, sales manager at Miller Homes North East, said: “It’s really exciting to be bringing new homes to North Shields. It’s an area close to our hearts as it’s where our regional office has been based for a number of years. Since we announced the development was coming soon there’s been a huge amount of interest. Over 1,000 people registered their interest to be amongst the first to receive updates and information on our sales launch.

“Since launching last weekend there’s already been 10 reservations. House hunters are responding well to our new house styles, and this is one of the first developments in the region to have them. We can’t wait to reveal the show home we’re working on, which will be one of the new styles, and due to launch in early spring.”

The development is around a 30-minute walk to North Shields Town centre and 10-minute drive to the coast at Tynemouth. Collingwood Primary School and Norham High School are the nearest schools.

Prices currently start from £229,950*. Buyers can benefit from Miller Homes’ extended Stamp Duty holiday on a selection of homes until June 2021**. Assisted Move*** is also available, helping movers take the stress and any hidden costs out of selling their old home.
