Work is now well underway on the first phase of a prestigious new development of three, four and five-bedroom family homes at West Acres, near Eaglescliffe.

Teesside house builder Redcastle Homes launches its two show homes open on the phase one development of 21 houses on the weekend of September 24-25, with half of the new builds already snapped up.

Situated just off Durham Lane, close to Allens West railway station and with easy access to the A66, Redcastle aim to eventually create more than 80 contemporary new homes on the West Acres site.

Building is now well underway with houses priced from £189,000 for first time buyers.

Initial homes within phase two are due to be released before the end of 2016.

The house options include The Malham, five-bedroom, three-storey detached homes, priced at £469,999. Three of the Malham’s five bedrooms are en-suite with large walk-in wardrobes, whilst also featuring a large lounge together with kitchen, dining and family rooms.

A stylish contemporary townhouse, The York is an impressive five-bedroom, three- bathroom family home, featuring a double garage and spacious living areas, with separate master and guest suites that feature Italian-styled en-suites.

The three-bedroom Wharfdale is a three-bedroom contemporary mews-style family home, arranged over three floors with the top floor featuring an impressive penthouse-style master suite with walk-in wardrobe.

All of the properties include modern kitchens, contemporary styled oak veneered doors, painted feature staircases with oak hand rails, Italian designed bathrooms and extra large, walk-in showers.

Simon Walker, contracts manager for Redcastle Homes, said: “West Acres is a fantastic collection of contemporary new homes that appeal to first time buyers and families who are looking to live somewhere quite special.

“All of the homes are finished to a very high specification, offering contemporary design and very spacious living in a location that’s hard to match, with such easy access to the railway station and A66, meaning Yarm, Stockton and Middlesbrough town centres are all within 10 minutes’ drive.

“West Acres has really made a great start, particularly for a new developer as we are, and we’ve already had some excellent feedback, meaning we’re attracting house-buyers who are choosing our homes ahead of more established firms. Our ethos is to build beautiful homes in desirable locations, and we’re confident we’re bringing something different to the industry.

“As local developer, it’s great that we’ve been able to create jobs here on Teesside. We do have more exciting plans that we hope to unveil in the near future.”

Redcastle Homes, which is part of The Prestige Group, is funded by the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency and is accredited with them for the Help to Buy scheme, while the firm also offers Assisted Moves incentives. All West Acres homes are also backed by warranty as Redcastle is an approved builder with national firm Premier Guarantee.

Raj Singh, the managing director of Redcastle Homes and The Prestige Group, said:

“The Prestige Group is already a very experienced builder having built a number of large care homes as well as some residential houses over the last 22 years.

“It was therefore a logical step to further diversify the group and to branch out into mainstream house building by launching our new Redcastle Homes brand, which we aim to make synonymous with the premium homes we are developing, as demonstrated by our new show homes.

“Our offerings have been well received so far by the house buying public. The take up on phase 1 at West Acres has been very encouraging with almost half of the properties being sold to date.”

Next on the horizon is a development of nine detached, four-bedroom homes in the picturesque village of Fir Tree, near Crook, in a courtyard location on the site of a former farm. Redcastle Homes also has further sites in the pipeline with news to follow on them in the months ahead.

Redcastle Homes recently sponsored Thirsk Secondary School’s under-16s boys’ hockey team when they were the only state school to reach the national finals.
