New name for fast-growing tech business

A GROWING tech business is set to shine, after undertaking a full rebrand to support its global expansion.

The trail-blazing tech provider helps recruitment teams hire tech talent and chief technical officers build stronger teams. Having expanded its service-offer to include more holistic testing of people’s interpersonal skills alongside technical capability, the business had outgrown its name Technically Compatible. With Tungl – which means moon – it provides a stand out new brand to support the firm’s growth strategy.

Tungl currently operates in over 40 countries worldwide including the Philippines, the US and Australia, and has ambitious plans to double its customer base and more than double revenues over the next 12 months. Its clients include Sage, Next, the Home Office, Land Registry and NHS Digital, as well as global corporations such as KPMG.

CEO Mike Rohan believes the new name and identity will help continue to drive the company’s growth, allowing it to move further beyond technical testing, to provide a more rounded support solution for customers in the UK and overseas.

He said: “The company has gone from strength to strength in the relatively short time we have been trading, and – having built strong relationships with our clients, new and longstanding – we have been able to expand our service offer, grow our team and really mature as a business, expanding into new territories overseas too.

“As the business has developed, we felt that – with so many exciting advancements – it was a perfect juncture to consider whether our name and identity still reflected the ambition and dynamism of the business, and it seemed the perfect time to change.

“Tungl translates to moon in ancient Nordic, and as we’re in the business of helping clients and individuals shine, there’s a rather abstract connection, that just felt right.

“We’re really excited to use this new brand to continue to build the business, and I look forward to seeing the reaction we get to it.  The feedback so far has been great – it represents a bold new period for the business.”

The company’s recently appointed chair, Ross Miller, who had a high-flying career at Compaq before getting into the world of tech start-ups in the early noughties, has plans to scale quickly.  Ross is equally ambitious about how the brand will elevate the business.

He said: “Having attracted two rounds of funding to help us scale up, we believe that we’re on an upward trajectory, and it is important that we have an identity to enable and support that.
