Manufacturers in the North East are invited to harness the knowledge and advice of marketing experts at the AMF Marketing Club.
The Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF), and its strategic marketing partner Newcastle-based Horizonworks, will host the AMF Marketing Club on Thursday 26 January 2017, following the successful launch of the Club in October 2016.
The event will utilise the marketing expertise of guest speakers who will discuss marketing strategies, methodology and objectives, to demonstrate real examples and benefits of effective marketing plans.
Leading the event is Samantha Davidson, managing director at Horizonworks, who will offer tips and guidance on what to consider when planning marketing activity for the year ahead, this will explore areas such as resource, essential activities, setting objectives, measuring and evaluating success and effectiveness.
Guest speakers also include: Jill Brown, group marketing executive at sub-contract engineering service provider Impress Group, who will present an overview of in-house marketing and how Impress Group has utilised marketing to overcome the downturn in the oil and gas industry; and Ben Cottam, managing director at industrial brush design and manufacturer Cottam Brush who will discuss planning a marketing strategy from an SME perspective.
The AMF Marketing Club is a quarterly event which provides members with insight into best practice within the marketing sector, the aim of which is to continuously grow the capabilities and success of the North East’s manufacturing firms.
Established by the private sector to offer a single voice on behalf of the manufacturing community, the AMF is now the largest manufacturing forum in the North East, engaging with members and the wider business community to exchange ideas and knowledge to create business growth and success opportunities within the manufacturing industry.

The event, which is free to attend, will be held at The Quadrus Centre, Boldon Colliery 12-2pm Thursday 26 January 2017, and is open to all manufacturing companies in the North East.
