The BBL Cup North Group Stages came to an end Sunday with the final positions now set, whilst Surrey Scorchers continued to fight for the remaining Quarter Final qualifying spot.

The Scorchers managed to pick up an all-important 10-point victory over the Plymouth Raiders, 87-77, to keep their hopes for qualification alive, whilst the loss for Raiders meant their BBL Cup campaign came to a crashing end.

Team captain Tayo Ogedengbe was the difference maker in the game, knocking down a whopping 31 points, with an additional six rebounds and four assists.

Scorchers will next head to the capital for their remaining game to face 2018-19 BBL Cup champions London Lions, in a game which will decide just who will clinch that final qualifying spot.

Meanwhile, the North Group Stages came to a close with Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks picking up one last win of their Cup campaign, defeating Cheshire Phoenix 78-88.

The Nix were hoping to extend their winning streak to 6-0, however, thanks to a double-double performance from Alisdair Fraser, 28 points and 13 rebounds, and an additional 24 points from Greg Pryor and 11 rebounds from Maxime Djo Ebala, it was not to be for the Phoenix, who can take solace knowing their BBL Cup Quarter Final spot was secured regardless of the result.

With the North Group now at a close and final positions confirmed for five of the eight qualifying teams, the BBL Cup Quarter Finals are currently scheduled as the following:

BBL CUP QUARTER FINALS (SINGLE LEG):
Leicester Riders (North 1) v South 4 (London Lions or Surrey Scorchers)
London City Royals (South 1) v Cheshire Phoenix (North 4)
B. Braun Sheffield Sharks (North 2) v South 3 (Bristol Flyers or Worcester Wolves)
South 2 (Bristol Flyers or Worcester Wolves) v Newcastle Eagles (North 3)
