Conyers School is celebrating a year of outstanding A level results, with an A*-B rate of 52% and a 100% pass rate.

In addition to these impressive headline figures, an exceptional number of students achieved straight A* and A grades in every A-Level qualification they took. This included Laura McCann (A*AAA), who has secured a place at Wadham College, Oxford, to study French and German. She follows in the footsteps of a number of Conyers students who successfully secure places at Oxbridge each year.

Isaac Black, who achieved an incredible 3A* grades in Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, as well as an A in Chemistry, has gained a place to study Civil Engineering at Imperial College London. This highly competitive course also includes a year studying abroad.

Other students achieving phenomenal success included:

Holly Alderton (A*A*A), Chris Carling (A*A*AB), Olivia Jackson (A*AA), Elliott Johnson (A*AA), James Lyth (AAA), Sophie Robinson (AAA), Alicia Rose (A*A*A), Charlotte Teasdale (AAA) and Katie Williams (AAA).

Inspirational student, Rebecca Best, achieved outstanding grades, including an A* and A, despite struggling on a daily basis with illness. She has secured her place to study Primary Education at York St John University and joins Conyers students who have once again secured top university places this year.

Conyers Head teacher Louise Spellman said “These wonderful results contain many stories of individual success and students overcoming adversity and achieving excellence against the odds.”

“We are delighted for all students who have dreamed big dreams and are striding into the future with confidence. I would like to thank the staff who have shown dedication and who have worked tirelessly to ensure every student had the best chance of success. Parents also deserve thanks from our students for their patience, support and kindness.”
