A MIDDLESBROUGH primary school has been honoured for the high standards it sets in Early Years education.
Ayresome Primary School has achieved the Early Years Quality Mark which recognises quality provisions for children up to five years of age.
Since September the school, on Worcester Street off Parliament Road, has seen its Early Years offering undergo significant remodelling and refurbishment to improve the learning environment
Additionally it has also embraced new ways of working for the benefit of its youngest children.
Achieving the Quality Mark demonstrates public recognition for the day-to-day work of all practitioners in Early Years and celebrates the high calibre work of everyone involved within the setting.
The Quality Mark represents an external validation and acknowledgement of consistently good provision, practice, progress and performance and is an award recognised by Ofsted.
Ayresome Primary headteacher Lisa Biggin said: “The Early Years Team have worked tirelessly to create a vibrant, stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors and in turn raise standards of learning and teaching.
“I am justifiably proud of their achievement of the Quality Mark for Early Years.”
