GOLF lovers can tee off in style at a leading North East hotel, with a range of special packages on offer.
Ramside Hall Hotel and Golf Club, County Durham – which boasts two championship golf courses – has put together a number of Play and Stay packages, available throughout the year.
Golf enthusiasts can choose from a one, two or three night stay at the four star hotel which includes dinner, bed and breakfast and a choice of rounds, with the three night golf break package offering unlimited holes.
Ramside offers guests two golf courses – the Prince Bishops and the recently opened Cathedral golf course – the only championship golf course to be opened in the UK this year.
Dinner, which is included in the packages, is served at Pemberton’s Rotisserie and Carvery with upgrades available for guests who want to dine in the award-winning Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill or for those who want to take advantage of a private dining option.
The hotel has 80 bedrooms – with an additional 47 rooms available from April 2015 – while golfers looking for privacy can book the site’s 19th century farmhouse on a self-catering basis.
The farmhouse, located at the centre of the golf course, sleeps up to 10 guests and has a kitchen, patio and drying room along with an optional housekeeping service, with a continental breakfast also included.
The golf packages are subject to availability with prices starting from £95 per person, with a range of upgrades also available.
Enthusiasts who might want to bring a non-playing family member or friend with them can take advantage of the non-golfer package, which allows partners to enjoy other activities.
The hotel is currently undergoing a £16m development, including the creation of a state-of-the art spa, which will open in spring 2015 with a range of leisure packages.
