North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Rock Rampage at the Town Hall

Screen Shot 2016-02-25 at 00.30.44FOUR of rock’s biggest hitters will raise the roof at Middlesbrough Town Hall in an Easter Sunday extravaganza.

Well, almost…

Taking to the stage on Sunday, March 27 will be four of Teesside’s finest tribute acts in an awesome line-up that guaranteed to put a big smile on the faces of rock lovers.

Performing as Metallica , Damaged Inc. have spent a decade honing their sound – expect all the huge choruses and epic solos from hits such as Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters and Whiskey In The Jar.

In a surreal side-step to their usual brand of indie-disco, the five Boro lads from Be Quiet Shout Loud do a brilliant job of laying down the bounciest riffs this side of Jasksonville as Limp Bizkit.

Lead singer Ste said: “It’s a real honour to play the Town Hall, probably our dream stage, we can’t wait to belt out Rollin’, Take a Look Around and more for the crowd.”

For fans of the poppiest punk rock in the sunny States, there’s a greatest hits set of Blink182 anthems from Binkl182.

Blink182 reformed and headlined the Reading/Leeds festivals in 2014, delivering the 50,000 strong crowd a feast of smash hits including All The Small Things, Feeling This and What’s My Age Again?

Promoter Phil Saunders said: “All the bands have played around here in packed out pubs and little clubs, they’re all amazing.

“I wanted to give them a giant stage to perform on, a world class PA system, pyrotechnics, the works!

“I’ve seen tributes from all over the UK, and the lads in these bands are the best in the business, and they happen to be from Middlesbrough and surrounding areas.

“I think any fans of the music they play will be blown away by how well it’s performed. They capture that intense live energy so well.”

Music lovers are guaranteed a riff-fuelled celebration of rock – and there’s still one more secret act to be announced nearer the time. Visit www.rockrampage.co.uk for the latest news!
