Rockliffe Hall, in Hurworth, near Darlington, is launching a “Wee Wonders” academy for potential golfing stars of the future.
Rockliffe, which was recently named Best Golf Resort in Europe, is holding a selection day at the golf club on Wednesday 30thMarch, at which the Pros will choose between 8 and 10 young players to join the junior academy programme.
The selection day is open to any child golfers in the area, aged between 6 and 12, and will run from mid-day to 2pm. Anyone interested should call the golf club on 01325 729980 to book a place.
Each child will be assessed and the golf team will make a decision within a week as to which lucky budding golf pros have made the grade.
Those selected will be offered coveted membership of the golf club at a special annual rate of only £120 with no joining fee. Each child will also receive 1 hour of coaching a week which will include sessions in the academy, ‘classroom’ sessions in the clubhouse and time on the golf course.

Who knows, we could be training the next Rory McIlroy or Justin Rose!”
