North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Sara’s business runs Rock steadily into next century

Sara Eke runs North East Recruitment Agency, Sara Eke Recruitment from her office in Rock and as well as having a passion for putting the right people in the right job at the right time her love of cricket has knocked her local club for six.

Previously, Sara has sponsored new kit for Rock Cricket Club and supplied mugs and tableware for the clubhouse but her latest donation is literally clocking up the runs as Sara has now bought the club a new scoreboard.

“We specialise in getting people into permanent positions and I felt that the new scoreboard, being a permanent fixture reflected this. I hope that the runs come thick and fast and that the club scores many hundreds of runs into the future,” said Sara.

Indeed, in the last 12 years, Sara has herself scored many successes including placing almost 500 people into permanent jobs with total salaries in excess of £8.1 million.

Her experience goes back almost 30 years and she has established clients based in the Scottish Borders down to Teesside and across to Cumbria. The firm specialises in recruiting for permanent positions and works with both the employer and employee to get the best possible candidate for the job. Sara’s main areas of recruitment expertise are in the fields of Office Support, Marketing, Human Resources, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Sales, Management, Finance, Technical and the Legal profession.

Club Chairman, Thomas Parkinson was delighted with Sara’s donation.

“It’s great that someone like Sara who has business interests all across the region has pledged to help her local club. She’s always been first to help when we need her and she enjoys watching the team as well as helping us financially. We really appreciate her support.”

Sara herself has another reason for helping the club.

“In business today there are many factors that influence whether you are successful or not. One of them is getting good staff to support you in good times and bad. As a country, we are going through a period of uncertainty with Brexit and no one knows what the future will bring. Cricket however is quintessentially English and represents stability. That’s how I want my clients to feel – it’s business as usual and we are going to grow from strength to strength towards the next century.”
