Lloyd Griffith, star of Sky TV’s popular football show, Soccer AM will headline a stand-up comedy event in Cramlington next week to raise funds and awareness for Northumbria Blood Bikes in honour of murdered Cramlington teenager, Owen Kerry. Owen tragically died after he was stabbed in a Cramlington club on Christmas Eve 2016. The attackers were later sentenced to a combined 44 years in prison and Owen’s family have since urged people to give blood as often as they can as Owen received so much blood whilst the medical professionals tried in vein to save his life.
All profits from the event, which will also star former host of Ch.4’s “The Big Breakfast”, Paul Tonkinson will be donated to Northumbria Bloodbikes, a registered charity established by local volunteers to deliver essential blood and urgent medical supplies, out of hours, between hospitals and other healthcare sites in North East England.
Tickets are on-sale now via the Facebook page Punch-Drunk Comedy or via the web-address www.Punch-DrunkComedy.Eventbrite.com (March 5/6/7th)
