If you have passed by Beckside Manor, a new homes development by leading homebuilder Miller Homes in Ingleby Barwick, you may have spotted a forklift truck with a pink paint job going about its daily work!

In addition to it being something of a talking point, there is a very serious reason why it’s there and painted pink; to raise awareness and money for three very popular charities; British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research and Great North Air Ambulance Service nominated by the Miller Homes team in Teesside.

“We have a great relationship with HMH Civils who are our appointed groundwork contractor on this development and this initiative from them seemed such a good idea,” said Nick McCluskey, Production Director, Miller Homes Teesside. “Simply, we hire the forklift truck from HMH Civils, and the hire monies generated throughout our agreement are split three ways between the aforementioned charities.”

The 14m masked forklift truck assists in moving product around the development and is a key piece of equipment on a busy and fast-moving construction site.

Gerard May, Owner, and Director, HMH Civils commented; “Charity engagement is very important to us as a business and this initiative started in 2018. Since then, we have raised thousands of pounds for charities through our relationships with customers across The North East, Teesside, Yorkshire and the Humber. Our thanks go to the Miller Homes Teesside team for their commitment, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
