Just weeks after opening, North Yorkshire’s newest and most luxurious glamping experience has been awarded the highest possible rating from Quality in Tourism (QiT) and has revealed the team behind the success!
Following an overnight inspection, The Private Hill has been awarded 5 Star Gold and Unique Accommodation Accolades by the Quality in Tourism team.
Quality in Tourism has been assessing properties and driving standards across the UK for over 15 years and are experts in the field, offering advice, support and assessments for tourism & hospitality businesses.
The report stated:
“The Private Hill is much more than a “glamping” site, the quality, style and services offered are more akin to hotel accommodation, guests’ will enjoy the luxury and the stunning location of the domes.
“Roddy, Jane and the team have created something quite unique.
“The Private Hill has achieved a Five Star quality rating. The coveted Gold Accolade is also awarded which is a reflection of the exceptional quality, additional service elements and genuine levels of hospitality extended to guests at The Private Hill.”
Owner Roddy Hamilton, said the success was down to the whole team, and gave special thanks to those who helped hit the deadlines for opening on site.
The full team working at The Private Hill is now in place; joining Roddy and Jane Hamilton is a team of five further professionals from the local vicinity.
Jane’s Dome team include Alice Laughton from Leavening who is responsible for its smooth running and for reception, as well as Frankie Groves (from Acklam) and Jess Robinson (from Skirpenbeck) who are receptionists and barista’s for the coffee shop. Local lady Beth Lodge has been appointed as housekeeper and Martyn Allen from Leavening as groundsman. Roddy said:
