Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Two North East employees win national charity prize

CaptureTwo RSM employees in the North East have scooped a national award for their charity work.

Alison Blench was recognised for her hard work and dedication to a number of initiatives which, through staff at RSM’s North East office, raised money for various charities throughout 2015.

These included supporting local charity Gateshead Food through the collection of food items and money from the staff tuck shop, arranging the staff donation of spectacles to Vision Aid Overseas, organising the donation of Christmas presents for local under privileged children through the Salvation Army and office furniture donations to local hospice Grace House.

Julie Willis was given the award for her extensive volunteering for a charity in England and Wales which aims to help anyone affected by crime – not only victims but witnesses too.

The awards are given to the RSM employees that demonstrate the most dedication to Corporate Responsibility (CR) which includes charity work, community investment and commitment to the environment.

Steve Railton, Office Managing Partner for RSM in the North East said: ‘I am extremely proud of Alison and Julie, what they have done in a year is nothing short of incredible. RSM takes the work we do to support local communities we operate in very seriously and it is important to us to recognise the achievements of individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty.’

To celebrate their awards, Alison and Julie have been given an amount of money to donate to a charity or charities of their choice.
